Title : CMS Revised Hospital Anesthesia Services Interpretive Guidelines
Speaker : Sue Dill

Duration : 120 minutes

Webplay Recording Date : 5-13-2010
Webplay Price : $ 200 for two weeks viewing

Webinar Purpose:

The Center for Medicaid and Medicaid Services (CMS) made significant changes to the anesthesia interpretive guidelines on December 11, 2009. Every hospital that accepts Medicare and Medicaid must follow these new standards and they must be followed for all patients. CMS provides further detail on preanesthetic assessment, post-anesthesia evaluation and intra-anesthesia requirements. These also impact issues related to CRNAs and the provision of analgesia during labor and delivery. The regulations discuss who can administer anesthesia and supervision requirements.
